About the Event

Greetings fellow stoics!

We continue discussing Viktor Frankl and his "Man's Search for Meaning". We had a deep and inquiring forum comparing Frankl's coping with his experiences in a concentration camp with the virtues and foundations underlying stoic thought, along with, as usual, our tangential references or connections we all bring to the  table! This time, we intend to finish Frankl's book and focus on his philosophy and psychology theory of logotherapy.

This forum discussion will take one hour. For this, as we are reading VF over the week, please feel free to write either in the comments here or in our Telegram chat (preferred!) which Leitfragen or key questions you would like us to use as prompts to base our discussion. Please try and submit  questions before the end of day next Saturday 06. February so we have time to select a handful of these key questions to use, in the event we don't have time during the forum to discuss them all.

The second hour will be devoted to a sharing center, sharing how we have implemented stoicism in our lives, how we have practiced stoicism, and how it has changed - or not changed - our lives. This is a first for us, to split up a forum like this. But we thought it best to try something new and not linger 100% of our time on discussions of texts, figures, and philosophies, but instead break up our time between these and our actual personal experiences with stoicism.

You can download his text here: The translation is in English. If you cannot get this version, in the Telegram chat we have posted a downloadable version of the full copy. In case neither works, here is another link to the book: Unfortunately this version only contains part 1 and leaves absent his writing on logotherapy.

Lastly, you may have noticed the forum next week is on Sunday, not Saturday. This is because Steve has a meeting with the Stoic Fellowship already scheduled Saturday during the same time.

A couple of words: (1) If you haven't already, you can join our Telegram channel by contacting us with your cell number and we'll add you. (2) The link to this event will be posted closer to the event start time, but we do use

We look forward to seeing you there!
