About the Event

Greetings and welcome to Berlin Stoics!

July is the annual Stoic Month of Practice where we aim to engage the principles of the Stoic philosophy in everday life, together. We of course strive to do so everyday of our lives, irrespective of the month, but by choosing one month out of the year for these games we highlight the significance of truly living the philosophy and doing so together.

You'll be crafting syllogisms (the Stoics like the Peripatetics were pioneers in logic), questioning knowledge with the Socratic method, contemplating your judgments and using the dichotomy of control, and playing trivia on Stoicism facts and history. You need not know anything about Stoicism or have experience with Stoic practice, texts, or theory – the one exception is the trivia portion. Everyone and anyone is welcome! This will be the first Stoic games hosted by Berlin Stoics.

This is our virtual/online version of this event. So make sure to have a snack and a drink next to your screen to enjoy yourself while playing along!

If you can't make it today, don't worry, w'ill also likely repeat this event more frequently than every year, so stay tuned.

We look forward to seeing you there!
